Inverted Pyramid
Most important first
Order a whole document from most to least important so it can be cut from the bottom.
Definition & mechanics
The inverted pyramid, borrowed from journalism, arranges an entire document by descending importance: the essential facts open, supporting detail follows, background comes last. A reader who stops early still gets the core, and an editor can trim from the bottom without losing the lede.
A curiosity
It began as insurance against the telegraph cutting out mid-transmission. The same logic protects against the modern reader cutting out mid-scroll.
Example
Before (chronological)We began investigating on Monday, gathered logs Tuesday, reproduced the issue Wednesday, and found that a config typo caused the outage.
After (inverted pyramid)A config typo caused Wednesday's outage. We reproduced it after gathering logs earlier in the week; the investigation began Monday.

Copyable Prompt
Apply the concept of Inverted Pyramid (reorder the whole document by descending importance—open with the most essential facts and conclusions, follow with supporting detail, and place background and chronology last, so the text can be cut from the bottom without losing its core message) to the provided text and rewrite in place. Apply the edits directly to the file as a clean, production-ready deliverable. Output ONLY the revised document text without embedding revision notes, changelogs, or meta-commentary in the file itself—put any explanations in your chat response only.
